Tokyo WOW! What a city! The fifth and last stop of the Chloé Nomade world tour. And the city with my favourite style (minimal with a twist) and extraordinary food haha.

The first few days with Chloé I stayed at Trunk Hotel in Shibuya one of the hippest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Grab a drink at the bar and listen to the sound of the live DJ’s that change daily. The hotel is surrounded by cool shops and restaurants and in walking distance to the famous Shibuya crossing.
The days after the Chloé project I stayed at the Aman Tokyo hotel which has an incredible view over the city from the over 200m high corner suite. Book a table at their restaurant to dine with a view over Tokyo and if you are lucky you can even see Mt Fuji far away. All the Aman hotels are just another level! Interior, service, everything on point.

I met Lauren, model, TV superstar and first of all illustrator at the super traditional restaurant GalaliI青山本店. After lunch we walked the narrow streets of Shibuya, grabbed a coffee at one of those cute little cafés and headed to to first shooting location the Yoyogi-Koen Park, one of Tokyos largest city parks. Make sure to go there during cherry blossom season!
After a traditional tea tasting at Sakurai in the afternoon we decided to call it a day.
The next day was all about the helicopter flight over Tokyo and delish lunch at Eatrip where Lauren told me all about her life in Tokyo.
I took the next days off to explore Tokyo before I had to leave this inspiring city.

Travel tips: Don’t visit Tokyo between June and August. 34 degree celsius and over 85% humidity is no joke kiddos. Take taxis – Uber is more expensive and not very popular. If you have the chance take a train and visit the country side. You’ll need internet – buy a sim card at the airport or ask your provider for options.
